Program Summary

KBR leads the government services world contingency market by providing responsive, full-service logistics support to forces deployed around the world under the Logistics Civil Augmentation Program contract (LOGCAP). KBR’s enduring mission support of the LOGCAP program dates back to 1992 when we served as the contract’s original prime contractor. Today, we have a workforce of over 6,000 people representing 40 nationalities who perform work on the contract in 14 countries.

Job Summary

Diagnoses, repairs, and performs preventive maintenance on numerical control, computerized numerical control, precision, and conventional machine tools, gasoline, diesel, and battery-operated vehicles, downhole drilling tools and motors and other production equipment used in the development, manufacture, and testing of products. Areas of specialization may include: electrical, mechanical, vacuum, hydraulic, refrigeration, NC repair, and machine tool rebuilding, mobile equipment, and electrical production equipment, positive displacement mud-motors, mud-operated pulsers, or downhole drilling tools. Diagnoses and performs major repairs to production equipment. Evaluates machine tool condition and repairs for repeatability and reliability. Assists in making evaluations and recommendations for improvements on equipment based on maintenance history. Operates production equipment for troubleshooting purposes. Trains and assists lower-level mechanics. Skills typically acquired through 5 years of machine tool repair experience.
