    This Administrative Coordinator 3 position is for a vacancy located in our Mandeville Behavioral Health Clinic in Mandeville, Louisiana. Please see the Examples of Work below for additional information on this position.

    This position may be filled as a Probational Appointment. Applicants may be asked to serve a probationary period that may be anywhere between 6 months and 24 months.

    Salary may be negotiable depending on the chosen applicant’s level of experience. Below is a list of the pay range(s) for the position(s):

  • Administrative Coordinator 3: $13.11/hour minimum - $23.59/hour maximum

Note regarding the advertised pay range: The maximum amount listed is the maximum salary a person can make while in this title and NOT the maximum amount usually offered to new hires.

Minimum Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Two years of experience in which clerical work was a major duty.

SUBSTITUTIONS:

Training in a business or clerical-related curriculum in a business school or technical institute will substitute for the required experience on the basis of six months of training for six months of experience for a maximum of one year of the required experience.

Completion of a business or clerical-related curriculum in a business school or technical institute will substitute for a maximum of one year of the required experience.

College training will substitute for the required experience on the basis of 15 semester hours for six months of experience.

NOTE:

Business or technical school training with less than completion will only be credited in six month increments. Similarly, college training will only be credited in 15 semester hour increments.

NOTE: Any college hours or degree must be from an accredited college or university.

Job Concepts

Function of Work:

To perform a wide variety of clerical duties that requires independent judgment to accomplish in support of the staff members and/or operations of an organizational unit or program.

Some discretion is required in the performance of these duties. Duties begin to expand in scope and complexity, and develop into departmental-program duties.

Level of Work:

Advanced.

Supervision Received:

General from higher-level clerical and/or supervisory personnel.

Supervision Exercised:

May supervise 1-2 lower-level personnel.

Location of Work:

May be used by all state agencies.

Job Distinctions:

Differs from Administrative Coordinator 2 by the presence of responsibility for clerical duties that involve greater scope and complexity, including initial program duties.

Differs from Administrative Coordinator 4 by the absence of paraprofessional duties that involve a higher degree of specialization, complexity, and/or independent judgment.

Examples of Work

This position is part of the front-office staff and provides clerical support to the Slidell Behavioral Health Clinic and its employees . This support may include a variety of clerical duties, such as : answering multi-line telephones, routing phone calls to the appropriate staff or taking detailed messages, greeting clients, notifying staff of client arrivals, conducting check-in and check-out procedures for clients, verifying insurance coverage, contacting clients with appointment reminders, and processing faxes received. Additionally, this position may also enter information into the electronic health record (EHR), as well as maintain a supply of the necessary packets for both clients with scheduled appointments and walk-ins.
