ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Recognizes and understands the applicability of corporate and industry standards to the business. Understands the policy and procedure infrastructure within the business.

  • Can identify gaps in and provide remediation of compliance policy and procedures. Identifies and recommends training based on business level specific needs that supplements corporate level initiatives.

  • Facilitates and tailors the delivery of live training to broad audiences. Develops and implements an ethics and compliance communication that integrates multiple media resources and leverages existing organizational infrastructure.

  • Demonstrates emotional intelligence to effectively impact the organizational dynamics across business lines. Analyzes and understands relationships which promote ethical and compliant behavior.

  • Coordinates and conducts complex investigations of reported issues in accordance with CBRE policy. Articulates and defends the findings and provides recommendations and remedial measures to leadership at the end of the investigatory process.

  • Probes and explores with business leaders the risk assessment process and aides them in identifying or quantifying risk exposure. Prioritizes the implementation of a risk assessment program based on business, location, and employee factors.

  • Analyzes risk in certain compliance areas across assigned businesses utilizing tools tailed to the business. Demonstrates a broad command of the legal and regulatory framework that applies to risk assessment processes.

  • Facilitates the process for all compliance area audits by internal audit. Supports program assessment and audit efforts, adding deeper dimensions to the review and tailoring scope to specific businesses.

  • Incorporates business leaders and ensures buy in on remedial activities necessary to correct findings.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

  • Four-year degree with a preference in Business Administration, Law, Accounting, Finance or related field plus a minimum of 6 years professional level compliance, accounting, or legal experience.

CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES

  • CPA or Legal Bar Certified preferred.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

  • Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret the most complex business documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive issues. Ability to write reports, manuals, speeches and articles using distinctive style. Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to employees, clients, top management and/or public groups. Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with key employees, top management, and client groups to take desired action.

FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE

  • Requires advanced knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to collect, analyze and summarize complex accounting data. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and/or commissions. Conducts basic financial analysis. Requires advanced knowledge of Service Organization Controls compliance.

REASONING ABILITY

  • Ability to solve advanced problems and deal with a variety of options in complex situations. Requires expert level analytical and quantitative skills with proven experience in developing strategic solutions for a growing matrix-based multi-industry sales environment. Draws upon the analysis of others and makes recommendations that have a direct impact on the company.

OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIES

  • Advanced knowledge of computer software and hardware (i.e. Microsoft Office Suite Products). Advanced organizational skills, attention to detail. Ability to work well under pressure with proactive approach to routine and non-routine occurrences.
