Position title: Marketing Assistant – Coleman, Campingaz

Location: Manchester area (Cheadle), UK

Reports to: Marketing Manager

Contract type: Permanent, full-time, hybrid working system

Your Role & Team in a Nutshell

As a Marketing Assistant, your main job is to help with our marketing and sales plans for the Outdoor & Recreation brands like Coleman, Campingaz, Marmot . You will work on special projects and promotions to help us sell more and make a profit. Your job includes making sure our brand message gets to our customers and helps us stand out in the market. You will also help launch new products and support our brand’s big campaigns.

You’ll be part of an overall Marketing team of eighteen, with two focusing on the Outdoor & Recreation brands based in our office in Cheadle.

We will help you achieve your goals and develop by providing regular feedback and access to online training courses.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Supports Brand/Marketing communication plans and ensures marketing adaptations are on-strategy and consistent.

  • Supports the annual trade management planning process, aligns the planning process with planning calendars, and understands brand and customer priorities.

  • Organises trade fairs & conferences according to customer & internal priorities, arranges registrations, coordinates brand presentation and internal team members, prepares necessary marketing materials on time and in full, tracks and controls the budget.

  • Participates in the strategic planning and timely execution of marketing objectives for the upcoming year.

  • Supports brand activities in accordance with the brand identity and guidelines process, i.e., consumer promotion materials, point of sale (POS), PR materials, and various customer executions.

  • Assists in managing the Advertising & Promotion (A&P) budget, vendor setup, issuing purchase orders (POs), and updating necessary trackers and systems including analysis of campaign ROI.

  • Develops displays, clip strips, gift sets, etc., in conjunction with cross-functional teams and agencies to meet customer needs.

  • Monitors competition, customers, trends, and regulations within the region.

What You’ll Need

Minimum:

  • University degree, preferably in Marketing

  • Initial marketing experience, preferably in a multinational company with a B2C background

  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken)

  • Demonstrated analytical and organisational skills

  • Good command of MS Office applications, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
