This position will be based at the San Lorenzo facility for approximately 4 months following the start date. Subsequently, the position will be based at the Manatí facility. Ethicon is expanding its manufacturing operations to Manatí, Puerto Rico. Resources hired will work in San Lorenzo temporarily until the Manatí Manufacturing Facility is operational.

This this position will coordinate Warehouse operations to ensure that raw materials are received, storage and dispatched on time from external and/or internal warehouses, complying with the highest standards at the lowest possible cost.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule Warehouse external and/or internal operations to support manufacturing operations on a Just-In-Time basis, to meet the highest quality standards, according to the GMP’s and lowest possible cost.

  • Assure timely availability of resources for various operations within the Department.

  • Responsible for ordering and maintain the required inventory level for Production Planning & Logistics owned MROs (Shipping & Packaging non raw materials supplies, etc.).

  • Evaluates and provides timely resolutions for non-conformance along with production quality technicians and/or external parties as required.

  • Maintain an orderly Warehouse with regards to documentation and/or any other required activities for compliance.

  • Coordinates with Planning department the implementation of changes orders to minimize obsolescence of raw material inventory without proper disposal.

  • Ensure safe working conditions and practices in the department as well as providing support on the plant’s safety initiatives.

  • Responsible for contacting, Air Freight, Ocean and Land Carriers in order to meet Plant needs.

  • Maximize use of the equipment, manpower and storage facilities, to increase Warehouse utilization.

  • Incumbent will be responsible for collaborating with external outsource partners to meet business needs.

  • Provide support to destruction of materials through RID process by coordinating the destruction pick up.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma is required. Associate degree is preferred.

  • Four to six (4 to 6) years of experience required, preferably in Materials Management or warehouse positions.

  • Basic computer skills and use of software application(s) is required.

  • Bilingual (Spanish & English). Required

  • Knowledge of Excel and MS Suite is required.

  • Must be able to complete internal qualification process for Manual and powered forklift license is required..

  • Ability to lift an approximate weight of 15-20 lbs. from the ground is required.

  • Availability to work overtime, various work schedules, which may include 1st, 2nd, 3rd shifts and/or 12-hour daily shifts, including weekends and holidays is required.

  • This role is classified as Safety Sensitive due to the risk exposure associated with mechanical intervention work. To the extent permitted by applicable law, periodic, unannounced urine drug testing may be required up to three times a year as a condition for employees in positions identified as “safety sensitive” to continue working.

  • Position will initially be based in San Lorenzo until the Manatí Facility is operational and, as a result, the incumbent is transferred. During the period that the incumbent reports to the San Lorenzo facility, this facility will be considered the employee’s work center. Once transferred to the Manatí facility, the incumbent’s work center will be changed to the Manatí site.

  • Availability to travel up to 10% of the time to Ethicon locations, domestic or international travel.
