A Software Engineer job is available with our client in Manassas, VA. In this role you will be a member of a cross functional team responsible for designing and developing software supporting the U.S. Navy's platforms. To be considered for this role, you will have a Bachelor"s Degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. Due to the nature of the work performed in this facility, US Citizenship is required.
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required within a reasonable period of time.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Knowledge or experience with Navy's Common Weapon Launcher and/or Multi-Tube Weapon Simulator.
Clear understanding of the software engineering concepts, principles, theories, software development process, and agile methodology.
Clear understanding of the software development process, with agile experience.
Ability to grasp and apply new information quickly and handle increasing responsibilities with growing complexity.
Team player who thrives in collaborative environments and revels in team success.
Commitment to ongoing professional development for yourself and other.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor"s Degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience or a Master"s Degree.
Experience with Java.
Experience with C/C++.
Experience with Linux and Bash.
Experience with React and Typescript.
