Work with other process and equipment engineers responsible for starting up, developing and optimizing processes to improve product quality and reliability. Work on process yield improvement, cost reduction, productivity improvement and risk management as well as resolving manufacturing line problems. Identify, diagnose and resolve process related problems by applying failure analysis, FMEA, 8D or SPC methodology. Coordinate and carry out process, equipment and material evaluation/optimization to implement changes at process step. Lead and participate in yield improvement and cost reduction activities. Handle new process baseline qualifications. Manage, audit and liaise with material suppliers to achieve quality, cost and risk management objectives. Own a portion of product manufacturing process flow or device-related projects during the yield ramp and sustaining in Fab 6. Ensure the process is set up properly to match sister Fab for inline and end-of-line results, improving process control and yields to enable Bench Mark yield curves and to optimize process flow for best product performance, highest quality at the lowest cost. Set up experiments using DOE, monitoring the progress of changes, and statistical analysis of results. Maintain or create detailed documentation of product/process information including lessons learned, module characterizations, risk assessment, etc. Publish module updates and/or key project status updates. Work closely with sister sites and the R&D PI/Process team to identify product matching and process alignment issues during all phases of product life and drive for solutions. When new technology nodes are being transferred to the Fab, responsible for Process Transfer activities as part of New Product Introduction (NPI). Position requires travel. May telecommute part-time.

Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Resources Engineering, Physics or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a Process Integration Engineer-related occupation.

Position requires experience in:

• Semiconductor process flows;

• Semiconductor device physics;

• DRAM/flash memory operation;

• Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA);

• Knowledge of SPC and DOE;

• Structured problem-solving methodologies such as Kepner-Tregoe, 8D, or DMAIC. • Data analysis and visualization techniques and software such as JMP.
