ATCC Associate Laboratory Technician in Manassas, Virginia
Overview
Ready to shape the future of science and global health? ATCC, a pioneer in biomaterials manufacturing, is seeking an Associate Biologist for an onsite role based in Manassas, VA.
We're looking for an entry-level Associate Laboratory Technician to assist in the cryopreservation and lyophilization of ATCC biological products and assist with the manufacture cell biology products and standards. You'll work under guidance to support production of biologics and derivative products, as well as contribute to data collection and recording.
Responsibilities
Manufacturing Operations:Perform preservation (cryopreservation or lyophilization) of biological products. Perform tasks such as maintaining laboratory safety, operations, equipment and supplies that assist in the manufacturing of cell biology products by following standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and other controlled documents.
Documentation:Maintain production batch records in compliance with good laboratory practices. Collect, analyze, and report data, ensuring meticulous documentation.
Continuous Learning and Problem-Solving:Master aseptic technique, gain experience with the preservation of various cell lines and organisms, and tackle routine challenges in alignment with organizational policies.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
High School diploma and 0-2 years' experience or equivalent experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to work independently.
Ability to function as a participant in a team environment.
Ability to interpret freeze dryer and cryomed run data.
Ability to exercise judgment and make good decisions.
Communicates effectively with ATCC programs as well as customer and technical service needs.
