Trachte, LLC Senior Product Manager in Madison, Wisconsin

Position Summary:

Reporting to the CRO, the Senior Product Manager is a leadership position responsible for leading the strategic direction of Trachte’s product offering in order to meet the revenue and profit goals, as well as the long term strategic positioning. This includes responsibility for product management, pricing, competitive analysis, market analysis and strategic planning. The Senior Product Manager will identify opportunities to penetrate existing markets and expand into adjacent markets.

Work directly with the leadership staff to establish strategic direction for the business and implement resulting strategies. Effective communication and teaming with customers, internal stakeholders and associates is essential.This role will own the strategy and execution to ensure our product lines delight customers, drives profitability and are a competitive advantage.

Business Strategy

Drive the development of the business strategy through a thorough understanding of Trachte’s value proposition, served market segments, adjacent market segments, and growth potential.

Drive the development of the product road map with input from customers, sales, and engineering.

Implement strategic pricing initiatives to maximize the return from our offerings by linking pricing to market value. Pricing programs may include regional differences where market dynamics allow or determine.

Performance, Metrics & Reporting

Partner with sales and finance to develop a pricing strategy that is consistant with Trachte’s value proposition and acheives our profit growth objectives

Identify Trachte’s value proposition and develop sales tools that clearly explain the value proposition for each target market.

Partner with engineering to ensure the new product development (NPD) process has a robust business case, customer/market input, and review meetings are an effective tool for management to review and direct the NPD activity

Develop and drive quarterly product performance review meetings to ensure a comprehensive review of the financial performance of the products and any corrective actions are identified.

Participation in the annual budget process by creating market forecasts and tracking our progress against key metrics e.g. pricing, new market expansion, and new product sales.

Requirements

  • BS Engineering or equivalent experience

  • MBA with marketing emphasis desirable

  • Minimum of 10 years experience with 5 years of technical application, sales or product management experience in custom engineered solutions for industrial or utility markets

  • Experience in a leadership position in a private equity owned company is strongly preferred

  • Strong presentation and influencing skills both internal and external

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Proficiency in MS PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and database applications

  • Engineering design experience preferred

  • A demonstrated ability to work in a self directed and independent manner, prioritizing work appropriately.

  • A demonstrated ability to work effectively in an influential management role.

  • 25-50% Travel
