MEDICA HEALTH PLANS Senior Finance Analyst in MADISON, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Description The Senior Financial Analyst supports financial reporting by preparing the necessary tax documentation. Additional responsibilities include the analysis of financial data by collecting, monitoring and creating financial models for decision making as well as monitoring variances, identifying trends, and recommending actions to management. This is a senior level professional position and is accountable for more complex responsibilities with minimal supervision while serving as a resource to others. Key Accountabilities: Tax Support Prepare the necessary tax documentation & tax compliance with support by external vendor Investment Support Review & analyze the investment accounting done by an external vendor Prepare ad hoc reporting on our investment portfolio Cash Forecasting Assist in the preparation & maintenance of a cash forecasting model Qualifications: Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent experience in related field, plus 5+ years of corporate and non-profit tax experience beyond degree. Skills and Abilities: Healthcare experience preferred Strong Excel skills to include some advanced features to support daily work tasks (Able to run Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIF Statements, large datasets) Strong attention to detail - ability to carefully review and evaluate financial and non-financial datasets Able to find discrepancies using historically related data and reports and create solutions Strong management skills and ability to balance multiple projects while adhering to strict deadlines Ability to work independently and manage daily tasks while also contributing to a positive team environment This position is a Hub role, which requires an employee to occasionally come onsite to the designated office, Minnetonka/Madison for applicable heads-up work. Frequency is determined by business need as decided by leadership. The full salary range for this position is \$67,100 - \$115,100. Annual salary range placement will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, education, work experience, applicable certifications and/or licensure, the position\'s scope and responsibility, internal pay equity and external market salary data.
