JOB REQUIREMENTS: Medical Assistant, Specialty Clinics - 34155 DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Work Schedule : Full-time, 90% FTE day shift. Monday - Friday between the hours of 7:30am - 5:00pm, no weekends, holidays or on-call required. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. We are seeking a Medical Assistant (MA, CMA, RMA, CCMA, LPN) to: Join a clinical team of physicians, advanced practice practitioners, nurses and medical assistants in a multi-specialty clinic. Within the UW Health Specialty Clinic, you will have the opportunity to work within the specialties of General Surgery, Urology and Endocrinology (Fine Needle Aspiration for Thyroid), Weight Management and Sleep Disorders. * Participate in cross functional teams across the organization to support a seamless patient experience. * Work in collaboration with the team to provide patient care. * Room patients (virtual and in person), take vitals, assist with clinic procedures, perform phlebotomy and EKG\'s. * Promote healthy lifestyles, wellness, and education. Equal Opportunity Employer-minorities/females/veterans/individuals with disabilities/sexual orientation/gender identity ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Education : Minimum - High School Diploma or equivalent and ONE of the following: * Completion of an accredited medical assistant program OR * Licensure as an LPN OR * Completion of the UWH Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program OR * Attainment of the CCMA certification as a UWH employee OR * Acceptance into the UWH MA Apprenticeship Program - Accelerated OR * One year of recent Medical Assistant experience and CMA, RMA or CCMA Certification Work Experience : Preferred - One (1) year of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant or LPN Licenses and Certifications : Minimum - * Certified as CMA, RMA, or CCMA or eligible for certification.
