Job Title: Low Voltage Installer

Job Description

Travel to, and work at client sites, performing testing, configuration, installation, and preventative maintenance on commercial and detention-grade locks, access control, intercommunications, and video surveillance systems. Service and perform troubleshooting of low voltage, and electro-mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

  • Travel to client sites for installation and maintenance services.

  • Perform testing, configuration, and installation of locks, access control, intercommunications, and video surveillance systems.

  • Conduct preventative maintenance on commercial and detention-grade systems.

  • Troubleshoot low voltage and electro-mechanical systems.

  • Climb ladders and carry objects weighing over 50lbs short distances.

  • Read and interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams.

Essential Skills

  • Mechanically inclined and self-starter.

  • Organized and results-oriented.

  • Ability to work efficiently with limited supervision.

  • Proficiency with electronics, circuits, relays, and low voltage systems.

  • Proficiency with personal computers and Microsoft Office applications.

  • Strong interest in software configuration and programming.

  • Ability to climb ladders and lift objects over 50lbs.

  • Ability to see and identify colors for work performed.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Associates Degree or equivalent work experience in automation controls, HMI/SCADA, electronics, mechanical or electrical engineering, or related field.

  • Experience with PLC/Ladder Logic, and Aveva programming.

  • Experience in the government and corrections marketplace.

Work Environment

You will be working indoors on government, commercial, and industrial projects. Our team culture emphasizes family-first values, teamwork, and customer service. The team size typically ranges from 2-6 crew members. The dress code is work casual (jeans, khakis), and company-provided work t-shirts. Composite toe boots or shoes are required. Standard work hours are 7:30am - 4:00pm, with an average of 5 hours of overtime weekly. We provide a company vehicle, laptop, cell phone, and cover travel expenses. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
