JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: The Department of Radiology, University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Medicine & Public Health (UWSMPH), is seeking an exciting opportunity for a full-time faculty member as the Director of the University of Wisconsin-Madison Radiopharmaceutical Production Facility (RPF) within the Department of Radiology. The RPF Director is expected to have a strong radiochemistry or radiopharmacy cGMP radiopharmaceutical development and production operations background and expertise. The successful applicant will help support and advance both clinical research, molecular imaging and theranostics programs at UW-Madison by supporting and continuing to build and grow RPF capacity in collaboration with multi-disciplinary investigators in Radiology, Medical Oncology and Radiation Oncology within UW Madison as well as external collaborators. The UW Radiopharmaceutical Production Facility plays an important role at UW-Madison in rapidly growing programs involving emerging PET radiopharmaceuticals for oncology, neurology, cardiovascular and inflammatory applications, emerging theranostics early phase clinical research studies, and novel imaging and therapeutics radionuclides with the UW cyclotron facility, as well as with external institutions, industry, and federal agencies. The Radiopharmaceutical Production Facility is housed in the Wisconsin Institutes for Medical Research (WIMR) adjacent to the cyclotron facility and PET Imaging center, designed for the cGMP production of radiopharmaceutical agents for translational clinical research and standard-of-care clinical use. This facility is staffed by experienced radiochemists and nuclear pharmacists, responsible for cGMP compliant radiopharmaceuticals to support molecular imaging and theranostics applications. The successful applicant will direct Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) PET manufacturing of FDA approved kits, ANDA, and IND radiopharmaceuticals for successful production of radiopharmaceuticals used in cancer imaging, cardiac perfusion, and other disease-oriented imaging for UW Health patients.
