What You’ll Do

  • The operator is part of a distribution team responsible for the final labeling and the general warehouse activities under the MDD and AIMD (medical devices). These activities change the expected performance or touch the identity of a product and include receiving, putaway, replenishment, picking, final labeling, reprogramming, final packaging and shipping, maintaining the warehouse and inventory activities such as cycle count. All transactions and activities will be updated in the related computer systems. All activities will be carried out in compliance with the existing QS procedures and according to all the applicable guidelines (including ISO 13485-14001.

Main Responsibilities

  • General warehouse activities including receiving, visual inspection, putaway, replenishment, picking, final labeling, reprogramming, final packaging and shipping. All transactions and activities will be updated in the related computer systems

  • Executing all warehouse, labeling and reprogramming tasks according to the existing QS procedures and work instructions. In case of doubt, contact the Team Leader or Coordinator

  • High quality and customer service awareness

  • Eye for detail, focus on accuracy and consistency of execution

  • General warehouse maintenance in compliance with the existing QS procedures: take all the necessary actions during the daily operations to keep the warehouse clean

  • Actively participate and deliver input in team meetings

  • Active participation to the general operation functions by accomplishing tasks with pro-activity and team spirit.

  • In all transactions, work with accuracy regarding traceability of batch numbers and serial numbers

  • Perform Cycle Counts when required in compliance with the SOP on visual inspection and the SOP on non-conforming items

  • Move goods received to a warehouse location in compliance with the SOP on visual inspection and the SOP on non-conforming items. Update the SAP software accordingly

  • Prepare packing boxes to be ready for shipping activities

  • Preparation and execution of all shipments leaving the warehouse, optimizing packaging as much as possible and labeling the goods, using forwarders software when applicable

  • Arrange emergency shipments in collaboration with Customer Service Reps or Supervisor

  • Ensuring work environment is kept clean and safe and that equipment used is maintained in good condition and can be operated safely

  • Problem solving with the help of available instructions.

Qualifications

  • High School level

  • Well organized, detail oriented

  • Experience in the use of RF (radio frequency) barcode readers and experience with a major ERP system is a strong asset (SAP preferred)

  • Experience with computerized systems is a strong asset

  • Dutch or French Native. Good understanding of Dutch is necessary. Knowledge of English is a strong asset

  • Strong team player to build relationships with colleagues at own and different departments

  • Strong customer orientation

  • Good communication skills

  • Quality minded with the appropriate focus on accuracy, order and cleanliness

  • Willing to learn new processes
