Agency vehicles may be available; however, mileage is reimbursed for some activities requiring use of personal vehicles. The selected applicant must be able to attend approximately 3 working days of staff development orientation in Lytle, TX.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselors (LCDCs) deliver a full range of services to include direct care to adults and children/adolescents in an outpatient setting. Services include individual, group, and family counseling; assessment and recovery planning; chemical dependency education; and relapse prevention. Counselors will establish and maintain good working relationships with local schools, probation, judges, and other community resources. Counselor must be a recovery role model for individuals enrolled in Camino Real Community Services (CRCS}. LCDCs determine what will help individuals reduce their risk of relapsing and increase their chances of becoming a productive member of the community. CRCS priority populations served will include adults with severe, persistent mental illness (SPMI) and their families, to include those with dual substance use disorders (SUD), and children, and adolescents, with qualifying mental/emotional conditions. LCDCs will screen and assess for substance use, psychosocial and environmental status of individuals and coordinate referral of individuals to clinical and other resources and services.
