Amazon is seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer to join the EU Central Finance team. The person in this position will play a key role collaborating with stakeholders across the EU Stores organization on key profitability and productivity initiatives. These projects demand cutting-edge technological solutions and short turnaround times. The complexity arises from the need to align projects scope with a diverse range of customers as well as have a strong business acumen to deal with broad spectrum of business topics spanning various verticals, including Topline/Growth initiatives, PanEU Finance, Profitability Insight, Ops related fields, Marketing and Prime. Help us to drive better decision making leveraging top of the notch technologies!
You will own projects end-to-end, from engaging with customers to production and delivery of a suite of tools used by the organization to make key business decisions. This will involve:
Gathering customer requests and agreeing/proposing the best technical solutions to their needs. Innovating on behalf of our customers is highly welcomed.
Building the data structure, transformation processes, load jobs in Redshift and data processing and presentation.
Automating tasks.
Debugging report issues and unblocking workflows.
Communicating with other BI teams and customers to provide status updates, etc.
Modifying reports via changes to underlying SQL.
Fielding report related questions from stakeholders.
Documenting tools and processes.
Keep up to date on latest BI technologies and AWS products to ensure we deliver the best CX.
Support on LLM playgrounds/prompt engineering leveraging existing AI tools
Tools used include:
SQL (Redshift)
ETL tools
Scripting for automation (Python)
Quicksight
Advanced Excel/VBA
LLM playgrounds/Bedrock/Partyrock
Other AWS technologies (Cloud Watch, Sagemaker, Lambda, Klaskson&Pyramid, S3, Cradle)
The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and committed to provide insightful and timely information to customers. The candidate should have strong communication skills and ability to prioritize effectively to ensure timelines are met. There is always room to make things better so this candidate should also have the ability to invent and simplify. Lastly, the candidate should have an ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and an ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.

Basic Qualifications
Experience in analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc.
Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab
Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling
Experience with SQL
Experience in the data/BI space
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift
Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets
