- Design and develop tools, dies, and fixtures using computer-aided design (CAD) software or traditional drafting techniques. This involves creating detailed drawings and specifications based on auto parts product requirements. - Perform, operate, and inspect auto part machines using both manual and CNC machinery to design, fabricate and repair auto parts and molds for part feasibility, part development, die design, and construction. After designs are completed, Senior Tool and Die Specialist file will be handed to machinists to set the machine and will then review whether CNC system is executed. - Manage manufacturing process of tools and dies, which may involve machining, grinding, heat treating, and other processes to create precise components. - Ensure that the facility's Metal Stamping equipment and CNC (Computerized Numerical Control) machinery are maintained properly and working correctly by inspecting and testingmachines, equipment, components, or materials to determine characteristics such as performance, strength, or response to stress. - Identify opportunities for process improvement in tooling and die operations to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. Implementing innovative solutions and best practices to optimize production processes.
