JOB SUMMARY
Operates a multiline telephone system to answer incoming calls and directs callers to appropriate
personnel by performing the following duties. Responsible for performing clerical tasks within an office
setting to support daily operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Other duties as assigned.

* Retrieves messages from voice mail and forwards to appropriate personnel.
* Answers incoming telephone calls, determines purpose of callers, and forwards calls
to appropriate personnel or department.
* Delivers messages or transfers calls to voice mail when appropriate personnel are unavailable.
* Answers questions about organization and provides callers with address, directions, and
other information.
* Welcomes on-site visitors, determines nature of business, and announces visitors to appropriate
personnel.
* Scans internal paperwork, validates scanned data, and files documents electronically.
* Receives, sorts, and routes mail, and maintains and routes publications.
* Performs other clerical duties as needed, such as filing, photocopying, and collating.
* Complying with all ICC Policies as defined in the ICC Employee Handbook.
* Pursuing continuous improvement through training and process improvement.
* Complies with all applicable elements of ICC Quality Management System.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
* High school diploma or a GED.
* At least two (2) years' experience as receptionist/office assistant.
* Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
* Familiarity with Apple operating system or devices.

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
* Must be a US Citizen due to US Navy Contractual Agreements.
* Verbal and written communication skills to interact clearly with customers, vendors, and
employees.
* Organization skills to keep accurate records and find important information quickly.
* Time management skills to prioritize and complete a side variety of tasks throughout the day.
* Interpersonal skills to create a pleasant experience for all visitors and employees.
* Business phone etiquette.
* Knowledge of or ability to learn DOCStar scanning software.
* Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers,
clients, and other employees of the organization

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of this job the employee is often required to stand, walk, and sit; talk or
hear, both in person and by telephone and computer; use computers, read, write, type, use fax
machines, use copy machines, file paperwork, use telephones, and utilize written and oral
communication to interact with clients, co-workers, and customers. Use hands to finger, handle or feel
objects or controls; reach with hands and arms. Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch
Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force
frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Substantial movements
(motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers (paperwork, typing, using mouse/keyboard). The worker is
required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and
figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading. Ability to lift boxes and
stack/unstack, (Approximately 40 lbs.).

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Position is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions (such as in typical office or
administrative work.) Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
