Inspector V and#150; Starting Market Rate Salary $60,431.88In this front-line field position, the Inspector V investigates reports of abuse, neglect, and exploitation of adults and children with mental illness or intellectual, developmental, and physical disabilities in State Hospitals, Managed Care, and Community Intellectual and Developmental Disability (IDD) services. Investigations occur in various settings such as facilities and private residences. Investigations are completed in accordance with Texas Administrative Code and Provider Investigations policy. Occasionally might need to testify at hearings or in court proceedings to provide information regarding policy/procedures, history, findings, or activities. Essential Job Functionsand#183;Conducts interviews concerning the allegation of abuse, neglect, or exploitation.and#183;Collects evidence pertinent to the investigation.and#183;Uses critical thinking and sound judgment to analyze evidence related to the allegation.and#183;Writes reports summarizing the facts obtained during the investigations as to whether abuse, neglect, or exploitation occurred.and#183;Communicates professionally and appropriately via all communication mediums.and#183;Promotes and demonstrates appropriate respect for cultural diversity.and#183;Behaves ethically and adheres to HHSC Standards of Conduct.and#183;Participates in case conferences and meetings with supervisors and peers regarding case progress and disposition.and#183;Participates in continuous training.and#183;Attends work regularly in accordance with agency leave policy.and#183;Works occasionally outside of traditional working hours (8 am and#150; 5 pm), which may include evening hours, weekends, and holidays, as required for case-related functions, on-call duties, and/or as required by management.and#183;Travels using a personal vehicle and/or rental car in accordance with state travel policy.
