We are currently seeking a Manager, Project Management - Research and Development, who will be responsible for utilizing best-in-class project and cross-functional stakeholder management skills, experience and methodologies to deliver transformational life sciences products to our customers, against aggressive business timelines and metrics.
This position is located ONSITE in Loveland, Colorado.
In this role, your responsibilities are:
· Drive project management excellence through best practice methodologies, utilizing the Danaher Business System (DBS). Introduce and sustain tracking and reporting metrics that enable timely communication and meaningful interventions to keep projects teams on track with project deliverables and milestones. Identify the resources needed to achieve project goals through established resource capacity planning.
· Translate strategy to action in a global product development environment to achieve on time, on budget project delivery that meets business and customer needs. Communicate priorities and balance trade-offs between short-term and long-term objectives. Pro-actively identify potential roadblocks and risks to program success, and propose and implement mitigations.
· Develop and cultivate strong relations and communication with internal stakeholders. Maintain strong working partnerships with leadership team and resource managers.
· Facilitate capability-building, culture change, and process improvements within the PMO and across the R&D organization. Embed new practices into the way we think about product development. Support change management.
· Develop and grow other project management professionals, through management of direct reports and mentorship of project core team members. Coach others to develop proficiency in project management skills and tools, and achieve increasing levels of capability in project execution and leadership.
The required qualifications for the job include:
· Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, chemical or biomedical engineering, or closely related field, with preference for 14+ years of related professional experience life science and/or medical device product development. Or master’s degree (preference for 12+ years’ experience) or Ph.D. degree (preference for 10+ years’ experience).
· Prefer minimum of 4 years’ experience managing at least 2 direct reports, specifically project management and/or product development professionals.
· Track record of simultaneously managing and delivering multiple life sciences product development projects/programs, comprised of hardware, software and reagents, from ideation to market launch.
· Extensive working knowledge and experience of project management governance, process, and tools. Proficiency in JIRA, Smartsheet, Excel and Visual PM software.
· Possess in-depth knowledge and experience in the life science tools and/or molecular diagnostics industries.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
· Project Management Certification (e.g., PMP, PgMP, PfMP).
· Change Management Certification (e.g., Prosci/ADKAR or Other).
· Leading product development projects, consisting of hardware, software and reagents, in a regulated environment requiring compliance with ISO13485 and global compliance requirements.
The salary range for this role is $130,000 - $150,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
