Walmart Analyst II, Process Engineer - Supply Chain in Loveland, Colorado

What you'll do...

  • Lead Process Improvement Initiatives : you will utilize tools and methods such as DMAIC, root cause analysis, 5S, GEMBA, six sigma, time and motion studies to target and eliminate losses in an area within a Distribution Center in accordance with Walmart Performance System (WPS) programs.

  • Partners with Operational Leaders : in partnership with operational leaders at the DC, you will help deliver results in functional areas through Key Performance Indicator (KPI) analysis, continuous improvement, and creation of standard work to reduce process variation.

  • Collaborate both across network and with Automation Teams : you will apply your learnings in partnership with other business leaders across the 42 Regional Distribution centers to standardize practices across the network and share best practices as well as working on site with Automation Experts to execute the successful roll out of new equipment/processes for the site.

  • Process Flow Design: You will interpret information to quantify the anticipated outcome of supply chain decisions, improve flow of freight throughout the facility, and understand issues and considerations for inbound and outbound logistics.

  • Project Management: Coordinates, completes, and oversees job-related activities and assignments by fostering relationships with key stakeholders, supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs, communicating goals and objectives, building accountability, addressing improvement opportunities, and promoting continuous learning in the context of Automation.

  • Automation Transformation Leadership : you will support the site and all its Associates in anticipation of the upcoming Automation transformation of our 1 million sq ft facility over the next few years. You will also align continuous improvement efforts with the future Automation strategy. You will have the opportunity to work with various teams (internal and external) on this roll out to our site and successfully transition to the next phase of our operation.

  • Data Literacy and Data Driven Decision making : you will leverage various tools to conduct data driven root cause analysis, lead improvement projects, and assist the site in decisions aimed at improving operations and closing gaps to derive savings for the business.

  • Core Principles: You will also ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, supporting the Company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans, utilizing the Open Door Policy, and providing direction and guidance on applying these principles in executing business processes and practices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in an engineering role within a distribution center or high-speed manufacturing environment.

  • Co-Op/Internship in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or Distribution with experience applying basic Lean/Continuous Improvement Tools.

  • Experience in Automation environments, equipment installation and commissioning, robotic operations and troubleshooting.

  • Controls Engineering experience in either manufacturing, supply chain, or distribution setting

  • Troubleshooting, maintaining and developing PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, and other vision systems

  • Experience reading and/or developing electrical schematics and electronic systems

  • SCADA System experience

  • Experience testing, commissioning, and debugging automation systems

  • Competencies with data acquisition, analysis, and visualization skills including programing logic and/or data analysis coding platforms. Including but not limited too...

  • SQL Server Experience

  • Python

  • BigQuery

  • Microsoft PowerApps

The annual salary range for this position is $55,000.00-$100,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
