Minimum Requirements:High School Diploma/GED with four (4) yrs of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Grade 3NPosition Description:The Office of Undergraduate Medical Education is seeking a Department Coordinator III. This position is critical in working in the curriculum of the School of Medicine including a curriculum management program, and evaluation program, and a testing program. These programs are essential for compliance with the medical school's accrediting body, the Liaison Committee on Medical Education. The individual that holds this position must be highly organized, detail oriented, and be an excellent communicator. They must be flexible and work well under pressure.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Coordinate LCMS+/RedMed curriculum management database including acquiring and compiling essential curriculum information and the curriculum schedule. Serve as an expert to train and/or troubleshoot problems as they arise.Manage preclinical exams and quizzes in ExamSoft for first and second year medical students. Manage the ExamSoft testing process including exam creation, administration and delivery, technical support, and maintaining a large question bank. Create seating charts for medical student exams. Serve as a proctor during exams and quizzes for the medical students.Prepare and implement student work hour reports and patient logging reports in New Innovations and troubleshoot problems as they arise. These reports are critical to maintain the school's accreditation.Compile teaching summary reports for residents, fellows, and faculty at the University of Louisville on predetermined intervals and distribute to clinical departments and training programs in a timely fashion.Assist in the coordination of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) sessions for first and second year medical students.Provide administrative support for the Senior Associate Dean and the Assistant Deans for Medical Education.Order and maintain office supplies for Undergraduate Medical Education (about 30 individuals).Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree. Experience in Medical Education. Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and Powerpoint. Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.Two years experience in Medical Education Curriculum Management. Outstanding organization skills, a team player, and keen attention to detail.
