University of Louisville Assistant Coach - Swimming and Diving in Louisville, Kentucky

Minimum Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Sport Administration or a related field and two (2) years of related work experience coaching the sport at a collegiate or professional level. Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations and working knowledge of Microsoft Office.Position Description:The Assistant Swimming & Diving Coach is responsible for assisting the Head Swimming & Diving Coach in the overall coordination and execution of the University of Louisville’s Division I intercollegiate Swimming & Diving program including identifying and recruiting qualified student-athletes, practice and game preparation, coaching, and promoting an atmosphere of compliance within the program. This position reports to the Head Swimming & Diving Coach.JOB RESPONSIBILITIESCoaching: develop skills of student-athletes, assist in preparing practice plans, implement practice planOrganize, prepare, and conduct individual and team practice sessions to train and prepare for competition and instruct student-athletes in techniques of the sport.Prepare scouting reports on all opponents.Identify, evaluate, and recruit prospective student-athletes.Promote an atmosphere of compliance within the program through strict adherence to NCAA, ACC and university rules and regulations through monitoring of program activities, active involvement and commitment to continuous rules education, timely submission of compliance-related documents, and immediate reporting of any knowledge of potential rules violation involving self or others.Other duties as assigned by the Head CoachPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Previous experience coaching and/or participating in the sport at the Division I collegiate and/or professional level.The Athletic Department is committed to creating equitable and inclusive campus environments that accelerate the success of the full range of our students and employees.
