Your Role

As our Road Logistics Operations Manager, you will manage the activities of our Road Logistics Department. You will be setting our goals and priorities for the department in line with our Branch and over company objectives, leading our team to operational excellence.

Your Responsibilities

• Oversee staff and operations, including training, carrier management, and performance management

• Monitor and manage department’s productivity, profitability, and financials in accordance with our policies

• Ensure compliance with all relevant procedures, laws, and regulations

• Act as primary liaison with customers, establishing service standards, and fostering relationships for efficiency and growth

• Develop and implement automated processes to enhance department performance and coordinate with Sales for client visits

• Manage customer transition to operations team, ensuring KPI’s are met and service protocols are implemented

• Oversee all business processes, from initial inquiry to billing, and provide rates & responses to inquiries

• Coordinate with carriers and vendors, investigate shipment exceptions, and perform all other duties as assigned

Your Skills and Experiences

• 5+ years’ experience in domestic freight forwarding

• 3+ years' experience as a manager and/or supervisor

• Thorough understanding of U.S. transportation market

• Designing and leading continuous improvement initiatives is beneficial

Base salary is part of a competitive total rewards package that includes health and welfare benefits, a 401k retirement savings plan, tuition reimbursement, and incentive compensation for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, skills, job location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
