UCLA Health RN Supervisor - Patient Flow Command Center - Westwood in Los Angeles, California

Description

In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day activities of our Command Center, ensuring efficient patient flow throughout the healthcare facility. You will be responsible for creating and monitoring staffing schedules, relieving breaks, coordinating priorities, and serving as an escalation point for any issues that arise. You will supervise the operations of the command center, ensuring smooth operations, adequate staffing coverage, and optimal patient care. Your ability to prioritize, make decisions under pressure, and effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders will be key to your success in this position.

Salary: $50.38 - $120.02 Hourly

Qualifications

  • We're seeking a highly-skilled, self-motivated nursing professional with:

  • BSN or MSN degree

  • BLS from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association

  • Current California RN license

  • 2 years of recent acute care nursing experience

  • Expertise and knowledge to manage high census alerts, demonstrating the ability to problem solve and utilize critical thinking in decision making capacities

  • Ability to communicate effectively with all members of a multidisciplinary team

  • Strong clinical skills triaging and prioritizing patient care needs when working to place a patient within the competency standards for each clinical specialty area and limitations of bed capacity

  • Strong technology skills including: typing, computer skills, MS Word, Excel, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and phone skills

  • Able to work in a highly stimulating environment requiring flexibility and ability to work with changes that occur with frequency within the placement of patients

  • Clinical experience in the ICU/ED/OR setting and administrative/management experience preferred

  • Patient Placement experience preferred

  • Case Management experience preferred
