Description
The Department of Medicine is seeking a strategic Program Manager to serve as a key partner to the Department Chair, Dean, and/or Chief Administrative Officer (CAO). This is a high-impact role that requires a proactive, analytical thinker with strong leadership and communication skills. The Program Manager will be responsible for providing executive-level support, managing complex initiatives, and driving operational excellence across the department. This role includes reviewing and synthesizing data and reports, coordinating cross-functional projects, and contributing to strategic planning efforts that shape the department's direction. The Program Manager will lead special assignments, conduct in-depth analysis on administrative, financial, and operational matters, and present well-informed recommendations to senior leadership and other key stakeholders. The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of institutional policies and procedures, as well as demonstrated experience navigating complex organizations.
Hourly Range: $31.20-$49.77Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
5 years minimum of Business operations and/or administration experience and/or other relevant work experience
Ability to use high-level discretion and maintain a high level of confidentiality
Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Analytical skills sufficient to interpret and apply University and campus policies; define problems; formulate logical conclusions, recognize alternatives
Strong written skills to prepare accurate, concise, and clear reports and document
Communication and interpersonal skills sufficient to work effectively with University-wide and campus-wide Administrators, Deans, Department Chair, faculty and staff both orally and written
Experience working with people with HIV and AIDS
Preferred:
Knowledge of academic and/or administrative structure of institutions of higher education
Experience working with Ryan White Program contracts and services at the county level (AOM, Transportation)
Experience with un- and under insured patient care navigation and providing resources for housing support, substance use disorders, and mental health services
Experience working in EPIC or other EMR system
