The Prime Video Publishing Operations Team’s core mission is to make content available to customers, on time, without defects, at the highest quality. In addition to continuously driving and improving execution of this core mission, you will work closely with cross-functional counterparts in engineering, content acquisition, product management, marketing, finance, and executive teams to ensure the operations team and systems are supporting the broader growth, launching new features, developing and growing business opportunities, and enhancing our customer experience.

As a Head of High Value Publishing Operations, you will lead a global team that owns publishing success for Prime Video’s most anticipated titles. This critical program enables us to expand video selection for customers by ensuring that hundreds of highly anticipated titles a day flow through our supply chain and are consumable. In this role, you will own the process and outputs for content launches and manage prioritization of work across multiple businesses and inform product and engineering teams on operational tooling requirements to support our business growth. The person in this leadership role needs to be highly resourceful, customer-focused, team oriented, possess incredible ownership over publishing outcomes and have significant ability to deliver results through influence. Successful candidates will have a proven track record on taking on end-to-end ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment.

  • Contribute to defining product value propositions, advantages, and limitations

  • Be engaged in product development with our product managers and our engineering teams, ensuring operator use cases are correctly represented

  • Drive operational efficiency by continually refining operational processes and influencing Product/engineering teams to enable automation

A day in the life

• Be directly responsible for the results of the highest value content publishing.

• Establish goals, plans and related metrics, track progress, and manage through obstacles to achieve program objectives

• Drive global prioritization content publishing operations.

• Develop a deep understanding of Prime Video’s content spec and partner performance metrics, defining what operational excellence looks like for Prime Video.

• Work cross-functionally with operations and business teams to define, drive and optimize the quality, speed and process for publishing.

Basic Qualifications

  • Leadership experience at large global organizations as a Program Manager, Operations Manager or Supply Chain Manager

  • Program management background with ability to improve and implement manual procesess and drive automation

  • 10+ years of program/operations management experience or relevant experience in the Digital Supply Chain Management

  • 3+ years of experience managing a team directly, and influencing teams globally

  • Demonstrated success in delivering programs of high complexity that have global impact

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience and deep understanding of digital media and/or digital video supply chain

  • 5+ years’ experience building and leading global teams

  • Experience running Tier 1 operations

  • Experience managing, delivering on goals, and communicating relevant results to senior management

  • Demonstrated ability to work cross functionally with engineering, design, and marketing/business counterparts to deliver products/services

  • Ability to work effectively and navigate ambiguity and change management

  • Collaborate and communicate effectively in a diverse global team environment

  • Proven ability to deliver results and prioritize tasks in a fast-moving, dynamic environment

  • Passionate about understanding customers and their behavior in order to drive new feature development

  • Experience working in a fast-paced online environment

  • MBA or advanced degree in a related field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $163,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $304,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
