Under the direction of the Building Manager or Housekeeping
Manager, the Housekeeping Supervisor oversees housekeeping functions for a
multi-unit facility, and non-residential/common areas up to 500,000 sq. feet.
Responsible for daily supervision of between 16-20 full-time career
housekeepers and up to 10 seasonal casual staff. Ensure
housekeeping/maintenance standards of meeting and exceeding customer expectations
are kept. Provide on-the-job training to staff, including proper use of
chemicals and equipment, and ensure compliance with published safety standards.
Salary Range: $51,400 - $100600
Qualifications
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school administrators and staff.
Ability to express ideas clearly, both orally and in writing.
Ability to learn and properly utilize various machines/equipment especially as machines/equipment isupgraded.
Ability to plan, train and provide work direction to other in a manner that is conducive to full performance and high morale of the employee.
Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach and climb stairs and ladders for long periods of times.
Knowledge of cleaning materials, supplies, equipment, building fixtures and equipment.
Must be able to respond to emergencies and work in inclement weather, as needed.
Must be able to rotate between a day/night shift, as directed.
Must have a knowledge of effective cleaning techniques and routine preventive maintenance.
