Netflix Coordinator, Production - Animation Series [preschool] in Los Angeles, California

We are seeking a junior production executive on the Preschool/Kids Animation Series Production Team (audience of Preschool through 12 years old). This role will support and work with the Preschool/Kids Animation Series Production Executive team, production crews, partner studios and cross-functional teams on our growing slate of animated series. The ideal person must be able to handle a fast-paced environment and provide production management and balanced decision making in supporting multiple projects.

A successful candidate will be self-motivated, proactive, quick-thinking, and flexible, while being able to juggle multiple and diverse responsibilities. Excellent written and verbal communication is a must. Requires impeccable organizational skills and an unwavering attention to detail at all times. Ability to be discreet and handle confidential information. This is a demanding and fast moving position that requires someone who is a positive thinker, able to exercise good judgment, and be loosely coupled to the rest of the Series Production Teams.

  • At least 3 years experience in an animation production capacity that carries responsibility and ownership, such as Production Manager or Associate Producer

  • Serve as the first point of production contact and the central Netflix communication point for show productions, internal development writers, artists, and producers, external production studio partners, and Netflix cross-functional teams.

  • Track the work against schedules and production reports.

  • Train crews in complexity tools and guide in managing assumptions and complexity throughout all phases of production.

  • Identify and manage gaps in pipeline, technical support, and production management tools ensuring that productions have necessary tools and deciding the priority of introducing new tools and training.

  • Propose and implement the updating and maintenance of Netflix information sources, new tools and best workflows (i.e., Shotgrid, Google Suite).

  • Onboard and train show leadership and potential studios on Netflix processes, tools and resources.

  • Update Netflix generic development schedules, budgets, crew trackers, and maintain the slate database.

  • Organize and track deal types for crew, following up when needed.

  • Schedule, organize, and lead meetings both internally and externally.

  • Perform other ad hoc duties as required to support the animation series production team and ensure seamless operations.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years in animated television series production, production manager level preferred

  • Must be able to work on-site 4 days per week in Hollywood, CA.

  • Experienced in more than one phase of production and in more than one department of a production; would be better if they have production experience versus development, with interest in development.

  • Organized in thinking and action, able to take charge and be decisive and know when to elevate a problem.

  • Self-starter, has implemented processes or pipeline improvements on prior productions.

  • Interest in working in a team and good people skills.

  • Possess integrity and is a team player.

  • Ability to be articulate, have good written skills and be a clear communicator

  • Ability to be discreet and handle confidential information.

  • Ability to multi-task and show flexibility in prioritizing and re-prioritizing as situations arise through the day.

  • Organized and detail oriented.

  • Ability to respond if needed to timely, important or urgent matters after hours

  • Proficiency in Google Suite, Final Draft. Shotgun if possible.

  • Able to understand basic Photoshop and design tools to manage and create presentation files.

Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $50,000 - $245,000.
