Position Title: Executive Public/Customer Relations, Emerging Talent Intern
Hourly Rate: $19.00 (Undergraduate), $21.00 (Graduate)
Overview of Department:
NYCT's Paratransit is a door-to-door transportation service for people with disabilities. The Customer Relations unit ensures that the Department of Paratransit responds in an appropriate and timely manner to the concerns, commendations and inquires that are submitted about its service by public, executive offices, customers, non-customers, and elected officials. The intern will help with making sure the Department of Paratransit's Customer Relations unit meet its mandatory turnaround time to respond to customers.
Responsibilities:
Tech Support for AAR customers needing assistance with the MYMTA to sign up to book their own trips or having issues with their password.
Inter-governmental relations/review of laws and legislation.
Prepared Customer communications.
Research complaints and inquires by customers, non-customers, and elected officials.
Contact customers by telephone and or/letter.
Update records in a complaint management system.
Write documentation.
Assist with daily E-Hail pilot program reports.
Projects:
Write and communicate executive correspondence for the Office of the Vice President of Paratransit
Research complaints and inquires by customers, non-customers, and elected officials
Support monthly Newsletter
Required Qualifications:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is a must.
The candidate should possess organizational, analytical and communication skills.
The candidate should be able to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
The candidate should have a keen eye for detail and be able to work independently while being an active team player.
Willingness to learn proprietary software.
Social Media Experience
Required Education:
Matriculated in an undergraduate program in good standing with at least 2.5 GPA or a graduate program in good standing with at least a 2.8 GPA.
Major(s) Preferred: Public Relations, Government Law, or Communications, or another related field.
