P2S Fire Protection Design Engineer in Long Beach, California

Position Requirements:
BS degree in engineering or related science preferred.
Minimum of 2 to 6 years of professional experience in Fire Suppression and/or Fire Alarm design.
General building construction knowledge.
Assist in performing consulting and design services on a variety of projects, utilizing Fire Protection Engineering technical skills.
Analysis of existing fire protection systems; design new fire protection systems, including fire suppression systems, fire alarms, and mass notification systems.
Fire and life safety analysis of existing and new buildings; hazardous materials, fire-rated construction; code analysis.
Proficient with Revit and AutoCAD.
Able to work independently as well as in teams.
Able to multi‐task and prioritize in a fast‐paced environment.
Possess strong critical thinking, organizational, and analytical abilities.
Positive contributor to overall office and department goals, culture, and morale.
Familiar with Title 24 CA Building Standards Code and NFPA Standards.
Visa sponsorship is available. Experience working in the US is preferred.
Preferred Skills:
Federal, healthcare, and education project design experience is preferred.
EIT Certification preferred.
Fire and Life Safety code analysis and building survey experience preferred.
Fire modeling, BESS analysis, or hazardous materials experience is preferred.
