Are you known for your attention to detail and ability to solve complex quality problems? This may be the position for you! As a Quality Engineer I, you'll ensure all quality standards are met for our products and production equipment. You'll participate in the designing and testing of our processes, mechanisms, and equipment, and development of standardized quality acceptance criteria. You'll write inspection procedure, assist in reviewing and evaluating in-process rejections, obtain disposition, and implement corrective action as needed, as well as participate in audits. You'll use your technical responsibilities to conduct our projects involving the design and development of new evaluation and control processes utilizing statistical analysis and other control/risk mitigation techniques.

Responsibilities:

  • Support programs to meet requirements set by the USG, FAA, SNC and other standards.

  • Participate in engineering design improvements, testing processes, and manufacturing operations.

  • Investigate root cause issues associated to programs and design processes, assist in evaluating nonconformities, implement corrective action and effectiveness studies, and participate in audits.

  • Provide support during planning, organizing, and conducting of our projects involving the design and development of new evaluation and control processes utilizing statistical analysis and other control/risk mitigation techniques.

  • Approximately 50% of your time will be to support Quality Management System audits and assessment

  • The other 50% of time you will be providing surge support on programs and act as a backup for dedicated Program Quality Engineers

Must-haves:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field and typically 0-2 or more years of relevant experience

  • Higher education may substitute for relevant experience

  • Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education

  • Knowledge of Quality Management System requirements and contract quality requirements

  • Experience in manufacturing and inspection

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics, parts lists, specifications, instructions, and test procedures

  • Knowledge of ISO9001, AS9100 standards

  • Experience participating in Quality Assurance reviews including Root Cause Analysis methods, Corrective Action Plans, effectiveness evaluation

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required. Learn more about the background check process for Security Clearances

Preferred:

  • Experience with Mechanical Design and ASME Y.14 GD&T

  • Experience reading Wire Harness Prints

  • Experience participating in or with Risk Board, CAB, MRB, FRB, and Change Management

  • Experience reviewing contracts

  • Experience supporting program milestones (CDR, FDR, MRR)

  • Understanding of Corporate Operations, Departments, and Product Life Cycle.

  • Strong time management and organizational skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills to develop and improve program initiatives by partnering program objectives with quality activities.
