Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Project Specialist to support a large Public Sector client in London, ON. You will be responsible for managing and supporting projects from proposal through to completion, and play a pivotal role in executing both eLearning Technology Projects and Instructor-Sponsored Media Projects. Responsibilities will include ensuring clear communication of project expectations, setting and managing timelines, implementing best practices, facilitating collaboration among team members, and seeing projects through to conclusion.

Please note this is a 6-month contract, and is required to be onsite 3x/week in London, ON.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

Project Leadership (80%):

Lead 5-8 projects simultaneously, focusing on digital media and eLearning.

Spend time predominantly in charter, negotiations, scheduling work, and explaining PM processes.

Once launched, work with the technical lead to schedule and manage project health and timelines.

Book status meetings, work through revision cycles, and ensure project milestones are met.

Conduct meetings, prepare documents, and manage project-related tasks.

Operational Tasks (20%):

Assist with identifying and implementing best practices in project management methodologies.

Consult with the Project Support Group (PSG) to understand and implement best practices.

Liaise with the eLearning Technology team and project leaders to provide informed guidance regarding resource selection, tools, analytics, and methodologies.

Oversee and participate in the development and documentation of processes.

Assist in the development and implementation of methodologies for process improvement, training, and data analysis/reporting.

Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.

Use lessons learned to improve processes, including gaining deeper insights into tools features, directions, and potential enhancements.

Skills and Requirements

2-4 years of experience as a Project Specialist or related.

Strong customer service skills.

Proficiency in Jira and Confluence. Higher education or public sector background.

Project Management certifications.

Digital media or e-learning technology experience.

iSpring training technology experience.

Miro experience for storyboarding. null
