JOB DOES NOT START UNTIL April 15, 2025.APPLICANT SHOULD RECEIVE A COPY OF THE JOB DESCRIPTION AND JOB REFERRAL BEFORE CALLING THE CONTACT. Workers should be physically able to meet and perform the work outlined in the contract for the entire period of time from 04/15/2025 to 11/30/2025. Workers must be able to lift 40 to 75 pounds for extended periods of time. Wages are paid weekly. The employer guarantees to offer a least 3/4 of the hours listed and pay the adverse effect wage rate Worker's compensation insurance will be provided. The employer must provide free housing and three meals a day or furnish free convenient cooking kitchen facilities to all workers who are not reasonably able to return to their residence the same day. Planting, Cultivating, & Harvesting Vegetables/Fruits: Duties to include, but not limited to: workers may drive and operate farm machinery to plant, cultivate, harvest and store vegetables. Attach farm implements such as plow, disc, and drill to tractor and drive tractor in field to till soil and plant/cultivate crop. Perform variety of other duties such as lubricating and repairing farm machinery. May plan and schedule plowing, cultivating, and harvesting operations. Plant, cultivate, harvest, and pack vegetables (boxes, buckets, crates, and bins). Lay plastic, settling plants, weeding (with hoe and by hand), drivig stakes, grading, sorting, and activities associated with vegetable production. Also completing value added activites on crops such as shucking, washing, drying, canning, wrapping in plastic and other methods of preserving the harvest. Row Crop Production: Duties to include, but not limited to: workers may drive and operate farm machinery to plant, cultivate, harvest, and store grain crops such as corn, wheat, hemp, soybeans, etc. Attach farm implements such as plow, disc, and drill to tractor and drive tractor in field to till soil and plant/cultivate crop. Perform variety of other duties such as husking and shelling corn, lubricating and repairing farm machinery, and unloading grain onto conveyors to storage bins and elevators. Nursery Production/Greenhouse: Duties to include but not limited to: perform any combination of the following duties concerned with preparing soil and growth media, cultivating, and otherwise participating in horticulture activities. Hauls and spreads topsoil, fertilizer, etc. to condition land. Dig, rake, and screen soil to fill cold frame, hot beds, or greenhouse to prepare them for planting. Plant, spray, weed and water plants, shrubs, and trees. Ties, bunches, wraps, packs flowers,plants, and shrubs to fill orders. Load trucks for marketing, work on potting and transplanting seedlings into selling containers and place in growing area. Assist with delivery of product to consumer. Maintenance of farm equipment required in operation. Assist in the set up of product for the sale of crop. Alternative Work: General farm maintenance and other duties as required in the farming operation maintenance. Includes, but not limited to, preparing barns, draining fields, preparing land for planting, maintenance of tools & equipment, and other work as directly related to the crop activities for which the worker is hired. Also includes fixing, clearing, and painting of fences / barns. May assist in livestock operation, duties to include, but not limited to: Handling, moving, vaccinating, castration, grouping, bedding, sorting, loading of cattle and hogs. Feed preparation and supplying to animal housing areas. Assist in preparation for markets. Such work will be offered when climate or crop conditions preclude working in the primary activities listed above.
