About the Job:

An opportunity has arisen for a Waiter/tress to join our team at the Chinoiserie at The Carlton Tower Jumeirah. The main duties and responsibilities of this role are:

  • Welcome guests warmly upon arrival, providing exceptional customer service from the moment they enter the restaurant.

  • Escort guests to their tables, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction throughout their dining experience.

  • Present menus and provide detailed descriptions of dishes, including specials and recommendations, with a thorough understanding of ingredients and preparation methods.

  • Take accurate food and beverage orders, catering to guests' preferences and dietary restrictions with professionalism and attentiveness.

  • Liaise effectively with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely delivery of orders, maintaining smooth coordination and communication.

  • Serve food and beverages elegantly, adhering to presentation standards and ensuring dishes are served at the correct temperature.

  • Anticipate guests' needs and respond promptly to requests for additional items or assistance, demonstrating a proactive and attentive approach.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, including tables, chairs, and tableware, to uphold the hotel's standards of hygiene and aesthetics.

  • Process payments accurately and efficiently, handling cash and electronic transactions with precision and integrity.

  • Bid farewell to guests warmly, expressing gratitude for their patronage and inviting them to return, leaving a lasting positive impression of their dining experience.

About you:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a luxury hotel environment.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with guests and team members.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, capable of handling multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting.

  • Knowledge of food and beverage service procedures, including table setting, menu presentation, and order processing.

  • Proficiency in using point-of-sale (POS) systems and handling cash transactions accurately.

  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays, to meet the needs of the business and accommodate guest preferences.
