Amazon Sr. Technical Business Development Manager, Amazon Key in London, United Kingdom

Description

We are looking for a experienced, highly-driven and resourceful Senior Tech Business Developer Manager to lead our expansion in the UK. You will be responsible to promote Amazon Key products to building managers, building owners and housing associations. You will also collect market and customers’ insights to ensure we continue to improve our product and delight our customers.

Key job responsibilities

  • You will define the sales strategy, channels and tactics for the UK;

  • You will conduct product demo, sales pitch and negotiations with prospects;

  • You will build a lead pipeline and qualify your leads;

  • You will leverage on your network and experience to accelerate Amazon Key expansion;

  • You will create pitch and marketing decks for various customer segments;

  • You will build and maintain strong relationships with our potential future strategic customers

  • You will work hands in hands with Amazon Key leaders, Marketing, Install Operations and Customer Support;

  • You will relay market needs and requirements back to internal Amazon teams including Product Management and Technical;

  • You will measure performance, articulate root-cause analysis, and link to specific improvement areas.

A day in the life

You are the ideal candidate if:

  • You have strong business development skills and a proven track record of meeting and exceeding goals and revenue targets;

  • You are excited to join a developing new start-up;

  • You have prior experience in selling to building managers, building owners and housing associations, especially in the residential space;

  • You are a self-starter, and can juggle multiple priorities and make things happen in a fast-paced, dynamic, and often highly ambiguous environment;

  • You have extensive experience developing relationships with external partners as well as with internal stakeholders such as Operations, Procurement, Finance, Legal, Product and Tax;

  • You are able to communicate with senior leaders in a clear, concise and structured manner - particularly in written form;

  • You can easily shift from thinking to rolling up your sleeves and executing, in order to deliver result.

This role will be based in London and with moderate travel (maximum 25%).

About the team

The Amazon Key mission is to empower customers to easily manage access to their homes and businesses. To accomplish our mission, Amazon Key design, manufacture, sell and maintain Access Control products using the latest home security technologies. Amazon Key technology enables Amazon Delivery Associates to securely get access to semi-public space within buildings, in order to deliver parcels. Amazon Key continue to innovate and delight Amazon Key’s rapidly growing customer base. Amazon Key consistently works on high profile projects and seek talented individuals motivated by an opportunity to make an impact, work on challenging technical problems, and learn in the process.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience in developing, negotiating and executing business agreements

  • Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level

  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

  • Experience negotiating software and services agreements

  • Experience in building a lead pipeline and in qualifying leads

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations

  • Existing contacts and relationship with Real Estate Property Managers
