About the Role

Cell Press is seeking an experienced, visionary Senior Scientific Editor for the "Cell Reports" editorial team. This role offers an exciting chance to lead the editorial direction and content of a top journal . As a Senior Scientific Editor, you'll shape scientific discourse and ensure the publication of high-quality, impactful research.

Responsibilities

  • Recruiting exciting content and assessing submitted research papers.

  • Selecting and collaborating with referees.

  • Engaging authors throughout the review process and providing outstanding author service.

  • Commissioning and editing, reviewing perspective articles, and other front matter writing and editing content. This will be for the journal homepage and social media outlets

Requirements

  • Have an accredited PhD in a relevant scientific discipline

  • Have previous editorial experience.

  • Display broad scientific interests and an ability to think critically about a wide range of scientific and clinical issues.

  • Be and exceptional communicator, verbal and written, including English.

  • Able to work successfully both independently and in a diverse, global team.
