Wondery is looking for an experienced Senior Producer with multiple successful podcasts under their belt to help grow its slate of unscripted talent-led shows.

You'll play a pivotal role in creating, launching and shaping the editorial direction of your shows in close collaboration with the hosts and oversee the production process end-to-end, including working with production companies.

As a collaborative team player with plenty of hands-on podcast production experience, you’ll have great industry contacts, a deep knowledge of the UK podcast ecosystem and be passionate about entertainment, popular culture and comedy.

Working with high-profile talent, agents, management, production companies, producers and other stakeholders, you'll drive the strategic vision for the slate.

Key job responsibilities

  • Lead creative production and vision for a slate of talent-led, ongoing shows.

  • Manage all aspects of podcast production including format development, planning, scheduling, recording and editing.

  • Identify, attract and manage relationships with hosts, agents, production companies and freelance producers

  • Work with internal department leads to launch and shape the overall creative direction of new shows

  • Edit and provide detailed feedback on content to ensure quality and impact reman high

  • Work with other departments to deliver on shared goals, such as Marketing, Sales, Business Affairs and Franchise

  • Identify and pursue opportunities for strategic and commercial partnerships to expand the podcast's reach and revenue potential.

  • Assess editorial risks across content working with internal and external stakeholders (e.g. legal) when needed

  • Maintain the highest standards of quality across a slate of shows conducting regular data focused reviews to identify any potential opportunities or areas for improvement.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience producing unscripted, talent led podcasts

  • Experience of working across multiple podcast genres

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience of launching new shows across multiple platforms

  • A creative approach to sound design

  • Ability to produce creative work under deadline

  • Experience working collaboratively with creative and editorial talent

  • Preference for candidates with management experience
