We are looking for a dynamic, organized self-starter to join our EU Food Safety and Compliance team as a Senior Food Safety Operations Manager. This position will focus on managing the governance, development and creation of programs built to ensure customer safety as well as business compliance. The role will be involved in various businesses across the EU working across the stages and operational processes of the food supply chain from the time food enters our sites all the way through to its delivery to customers. The individual must be detail oriented and have excellent organizational skills, a high bar for safety, strong customer obsession, and a track record of operating in a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will be comfortable with ambiguity, have strong attention to detail, and be motivated by a fast-paced environment.

Key job responsibilities

This role will support business leaders within Amazon EU and responsibilities include:

  • Defining the strategy for the customer safety and compliance programs

  • Utilizing learnings and metrics to continuously iterate and develop programs.

  • Creating programs to meet new operational or business requirements.

  • Scaling programs with the business, to ensure regulatory requirements are assessed and where necessary incorporated.

  • Working with WW FS and tech teams to influence roadmaps to ensure they meet regional requirements.

Basic Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level

  • Experience in compliance, audit or risk management

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification

  • Experience leveraging technology and implementing lean principles / Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements or equivalent

  • Master's degree or equivalent
