Amazon Product Manager, Amazon Freight in London, United Kingdom

Description

Amazon Freight is looking to hire a Product Manager to scope, integrate and grow new supply stream for its newest business, called Less-than-Truckload (LTL) which is an external facing Freight service.

In this role, you will be responsible for defining the 1P supply strategy approach Amazon Freight LTL should take in order to service our customers, while scoping requirements to integrate and enable these in collaboration with other product, technical and program teams.

This position is based out of our London Corporate Office, with the flexibility to work remotely up to two days per week in line with Amazon’s current flexible work guidance. Amazon encourages open communication about unique needs for flexible arrangements.

Key job responsibilities

  • Set your product's vision and strategic direction. Clearly articulate the business case of a given initiative or feature and then connect back to vision and goals. Help teams understand the "why" behind what you are building.

  • Scope and launch new features and initiatives, create and monitor performance metrics, and report on the status of key objectives that affect deliverables

  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders like other product, technical, program teams to define and align on requirements, priorities and implementations plans

  • Prioritize initiatives and features by ranking them against strategic goals and initiatives. Make difficult trade-off decisions based on the value a new feature will deliver to your customers and the business.

  • Manage cross-functional dependencies; e.g.: bridging gaps between different functions within the org and align teams including program, operations, product, etc.

  • You will own business and product success metrics through coordination across technology, operations, business and product stakeholders.

A day in the life

As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and improving products, features and initiatives that ensure the smooth running of our business, cost reduction and best in class customer experience. You’ll work closely with a range of Amazon colleagues to understand how they work, and what you and your teams can learn, as well as sharing your own expertise. Together, you’ll identify exciting new opportunities and will take the lead when it comes to designing their implementation.

You’ll encourage and support your teams and colleagues to meet important deliverables, while proactively looking for new, data-backed ways we could do things better. Your work will be integral to your team’s success.

About the team

Amazon couldn’t deliver at pace without the Amazon Transportation Service (ATS) team. As part of ATS, you’ll be welcomed into a diverse team that plays a central role in our success. Using air, sea and road transport, as well as sortation centres equipped with the latest technology, you’ll help Amazon’s transport run at maximum efficiency. Our team captures data and uses it to drive decisions. They are key to making Amazon more innovative and efficient.

Basic Qualifications

  • A degree

  • Relevant experience of product management, program management, or technology experience

  • Relevant experience of communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including your peers and leadership

  • Analytical abilities with experience using qualitative and quantitative skills to develop product/ program strategies

  • Proficiency in Structured Query Language (SQL)

  • Relevant experience working with the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA

  • Python skills

  • Relevant experience in Supply Chain / Logistics
