Citigroup Financial Editor Senior Analyst - Assistant Vice President - London in London, United Kingdom

Citi Global Insights, Citi’s thought leadership unit, is looking for a writer and editor to bolster its content production and review capabilities.

The successful candidate will have first class writing, editing and editorial production skills, and will play a key part in our efforts to democratize content across Citi, ensuring that our content lands with impact and continues to be of the very highest quality. The role will include coordination and adjustment of content in line with legal and franchise reviews.

The job is a varied one and will require someone happy to work on multiple projects concurrently and who can jump into new projects with enthusiasm and commitment.

Role will include:

-Author short descriptions, synopses, and/or executive summaries of highly specialized publications for a general audience

-Produce new reports working in concert with authors and editor in chief. This will include layout of report, using our own publishing tool, production of charts and other graphics working closely with report authors and our central graphics team

-Proof read and edit documents- some of which can be highly complex and make sure that the information is presented accurately and effectively. Cut through to the key messages and make them accessible and readable

-Produce attractive power point decks based on those reports that can be used to boost marketing efforts

-Repackage and/or repurpose published content based on trending themes

-Shape and distil messages so that they are engaging, broadly consumable, and easily understandable

-Curate the best content for discovery on Citi’s content channels including via social media- working closely with public affairs team

-Work with content creators to help them draft the most attractive content for our clients

Must have:

-Advanced MS Office suite skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

-Ability to summarize quickly and effectively

-Ability to work independently

  • Ability to interact with colleagues at all levels of the firm

-Ability to balance big picture and details

-Strong written and verbal communication skills

-Highly organized, with solid project management skills

-Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to shifting priorities

-Skilled storyteller

-Background in journalism or content creation roles desirable

-Keen commercial instincts, ability to identify content that "hooks" the client and clearly articulate important information

Qualifications / Education: Minimum bachelor’s degree

Knowledge/Experience:

-Financial services knowledge a plus

-Broad interest in the understanding the big themes shaping the future

-Interest in innovation and technology a plus

-Working knowledge of HTML a plus

-Working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) a plus
