EMEA Financial Reporting Manager – CBRE Investment Management

Position

The Financial Reporting Manager oversees delivery of external and internal financial reporting compliance deliverables including regulatory, tax, and statutory reporting across the EMEA region. This individual will be reporting directly to into the Senior Director and be responsible for managing the Financial Reporting team. You will also be the main point of contact for external providers (e.g., tax, audit) and internal stakeholders (e.g., Compliance, Legal). The successful candidate will have strong technical knowledge of various GAAP within EMEA, a subject expert in financial, regulatory and tax reporting, and be able to effectively manage a team. Excellent communication skills are a prerequisite. Financial services experience and previous experience with a U.S.-based multinational company are strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the preparation and submission of annual financial statements including all statutory disclosures in accordance with the respective local GAAP’s (e.g. UK & LUX) to bridge from US GAAP group reporting.

  • Facilitating statutory vs. US GAAP differences within the ERP’s various ledgers

  • Liaising with internal stakeholders to ensure timely external requests are fulfilled (e.g. internal reporting team, FinOps, Legal, Compliance, etc.)

  • Support the annual external audit acting as the main point of contact with external auditors consider Management Letter Points and adjustments raised by auditors and take necessary corrective action on a timely basis to ensure alignment between financial statements and the underlying general ledger.

  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory reporting requirements, including submissions to relevant authorities including capital adequacy reporting on a quarterly basis to the CSSF, FCA and DNB.

  • Preparing the annual ICARA in conjunction with Compliance experts and liaising with FP&A for forecasting purposes in order to conduct internal stress tests and reporting results.

  • Reviewing annual trial balances for legal entities domiciled in the UK, Luxembourg and Dubai and bridging adjustments from US GAAP for group reporting purposes to local GAAP for statutory financial statement.

  • Responding to all other regulatory requests related to corporate entities including macroeconomic statistical reporting related to ONS survey and MESREP reporting.

  • Liaise with internal specialists and external tax advisers to ensure adherence with all compliance, regulatory, and tax filing requirements and accurate reporting in the financial statements.

  • Responsible for accurate submissions & payment for all VAT tax filings for EMEA entities on a timely basis.

  • Provide regular status updates on compliance and regulatory deadlines as well as advanced planning for engagement of various stakeholders both internal and external.

  • Manage a team of at least one direct report to set clear and achievable objectives and ensure that they are delivered upon on a timely basis. Build an effective team by setting performance-related goals and evaluation to identify development needs and training opportunities.

  • Cultivate a continuous-improvement mindset; challenge existing processes and encourage the adoption of technology-based solutions and enhancements.

Key Skills/Experience

  • Qualified ACA or ACCA accountant with 10+ years of professional experience preferably Big4

  • Experienced with managing a team and comfortable delegating tasks effectively

  • Strong technical experience with various European local GAAP's and U.S. GAAP

· Positive mindset with a drive to continually improve and challenge existing processes

  • Proficient using Excel with excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

  • Keen and positive attitude and team player

  • Experience with PeopleSoft is desirable.
