POSITION PURPOSE

Provides analytical and functional support and maintenance of internet and intranet websites, enterprise level clinical and non-clinical web applications for clients at Trinity Health Home Office and Ministry Organization locations. Serves as a liaison with clinical users and business owners (i.e., physicians, nurses, marketing departments, etc.), technical applications staff and vendors to assess and resolve problems with content and functionality of websites and web-based applications. Responds to business process issues by researching routine application problems, conferring with more senior members to develop solutions, conducting test cases and soliciting support from technical application staff or vendors in order to facilitate issue resolution. Assists with quality assurance testing of new releases of web-based applications; modifies existing web pages and creates new ones; conducts file maintenance, updates tables. Assists in providing training and guidance to user clients in utilization of new internal business processes and new systems or applications. Work activities require thorough understanding of websites, databases, and multiple web applications. Position incumbents are developing their knowledge in the suite of clinical and non-clinical web applications and serve as a resource on technical issues, data analysis, and determining the nature of problems in providing a quick resolution. Works with enterprise level clinical and business web applications and users that are deployed across multiple ministry organizations and geographic locations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Knows, understands, incorporates and demonstrates the mission, vision and values of Trinity Health in behaviors, practices and decisions.

  • Provides support of web- and portal-based websites, applications, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Enterprise Service Business (ESB) integration platforms and databases, by performing assigned work competently and within established timelines. Seeks assistance from more senior members when faced with complex problems. Works on multiple assignments concurrently, including project work, website updates, quality assurance tasks, and/or technical support requests.

  • Investigates customer issues and seeks problem resolution. Consults with more senior members to interpret findings and determine a resolution. Communicates with customers, peers and management for issue escalation when appropriate.

  • Interacts with customers, peers and others to analyze and documents customer problems and to make changes as requested; tracks client interactions and provides status updates on a regular basis; responds to website change requests in a timely fashion and in accordance with department procedures.

  • Participates in quality assurance testing of websites, applications and web integration components.

  • Supports organizational direction by completing work as assigned. Provides feedback to leadership team and suggests process enhancements. May perform lead role on a quality assurance projects.

  • Identifies own technical training needs. Participates in in-house training events when available. Adjusts smoothly to multiple demands, shifting priorities, crisis and rapid changes. Supports technical changes.

  • Identifies and cultivates working relationships with key people within and outside the organization.

  • Codes web content in accordance with stated Trinity Health design, content, and usage standards and to point out compliance issues to content owners for resolution.

  • Participates in multi-team efforts such as quality assurance testing, live environment implementation, and issue troubleshooting scenarios.

  • Maintains existing and creates new web pages by utilizing existing template and folder structure.

  • Follows workflow processes, best practices, and other standards. May suggest modification to standards and best practices.

  • Identifies and suggests application enhancements based on process and workflow requirements, current usability guidelines, web design techniques, and customer business requirements.

  • Reviews application and server event log files for basic troubleshooting information related to application performance and user issues.

  • Assists in developing and promoting standard operating procedures.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State and local laws/regulations; the Trinity Health Integrity and Compliance Program and Code of Conduct; as well as other policies and procedures in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical and professional behavior.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Design, or a related field and one (1) to three (3) years' experience maintaining and supporting websites or supporting web applications, SOA or ESB platforms or equivalent combination of education and work experience as gained through supporting websites and multi-tiered application environments. Knowledge of the Healthcare IT field is preferred.

  • One (1) to two (2) years' experience using DreamWeaver or similar HTML coding tool to maintain internet and intranet web pages in accordance with industry standards and compatible with a variety of web browsers such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari. Ability to modify HTML code directly.

  • One (1) to two (2) years' experience using Adobe PhotoShop, Paint Shop Pro, GIMP, or similar image editing tool to modify images optimized for the web.

  • Experience using SQL or similar language for manipulation of data in relational database tables in order to maintain test and production data.

  • Experience using industry standard web browsers such as Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Apple Safari.

  • Experience creating and manipulating basic animations using Flash or animated GIF files preferred.

  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Must possess the ability to work in teams and with direct supervision

  • Must be comfortable operating in a collaborative, shared leadership environment

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

  • This position operates in a typical office environment. The area is well-lit, temperature-controlled and free from hazards. Incumbent communicates frequently, in person and over the telephone, with people in a number of different locations on technical issues.

  • Manual dexterity is needed in order to operate a keyboard.

  • Hearing is needed for extensive telephone and in person communications.

  • The environment in which the incumbent will work requires the ability to concentrate, meet deadlines, work on several projects at the same period and adapt to interruptions.

  • The incumbent will provide 24 x 7 on-call rotation support.
