Siemens Digital Industries Software is seeking a dynamic and experienced Presales Solution Consultant to support our Life Science industry customers, specifically in regulated process industries such as Pharmaceuticals, Chemical, and Food & Beverage. In this client-facing role, you will work closely with our Sales team to provide technical assistance and expertise to direct customers.

As Presales Solution Consultant, you will lead value-based conversations, assessments, and demonstrations that address system architecture considerations and enable unlimited complexity. By adopting innovative technologies and managing cross-functional interfaces, our customers will reduce engineering costs while maintaining data quality. Your understanding of regulated process industries and customer needs will allow you to deliver prescriptive solutions through presentations and software demonstrations.

Responsibilities:

  • Deepen your understanding of regulated process industries, including Pharmaceuticals, Chemical, and Food & Beverage industries.

  • Conduct tailored technical presentations and demos that focus on business value.

  • Map customer requirements to Siemens' capabilities and solve problems using our products.

  • Prototype customer processes within Siemens' software.

  • Lead customer workshops and consultatively assist in technical conversations and customer adoption of our solutions.

  • Serve as the technical point of contact during evaluation and demonstration periods, bridging the gap between customers and internal engineering.

  • Respond promptly and professionally to support requests fromPresales and Sales, including presentations, demonstrations, assessments, benchmarks, ROI analysis, project roadmaps, and responding to Requests for Proposals (RFPs).

  • Travel to client locations throughout North America and globally for onsite visits and workshops.

  • Continuous improvement of Siemens’ technical presentations and software demonstrations.

  • Transfer industry knowledge to sales professionals and other solution consultants.

  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of product capabilities and communicate gaps to Product Development.

Required Background/Skills, Education and Experience:

*Must currently reside in the continental United States at this time. This is a very firm requirement.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, or a related discipline.

  • 5+ years’ experience performing requirements analysis and specification development, preliminary design and detailed design of complex systems in regulated process industries, such as Pharmaceuticals, Chemical, and Food & Beverage industries.

  • Strong preference for Pharma experience and background.

  • Strong R&D, product development and/or manufacturing experience with experience with digital systems on multiple projects.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.

  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand client needs and develop creative solutions.

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Self-motivated and proactive, with a passion for technology and driving business results.

  • High level of initiative, teamwork, flexibility, willingness to learn.

  • Ability to travel up to 50%, with a varying travel schedule depending on needs of the business.

Preferred Background/Skills, Education and Experience:

  • 10+ years of technical experience in application development, solution engineering, presales, or consulting services in regulated process industries, such as Pharmaceuticals, Chemical, and Food & Beverage industries.

  • Experience in a pharma regulated (EMA or FDA) environment.

  • Experience working with validated applications in the Life Sciences sector and understanding of CFR part 11 requirements.

  • Experience developing data pipelines and integrating enterprise platforms such as ERP, CRM, PLM, PDM, QMS, LIMS, ELN, MES, and manufacturing shopfloor applications.

  • Experience with using public cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).

  • Experience with using Agile methodologies in a regulated environment.

  • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) software tools.

  • Understanding of UML and/or SysML modeling languages.

  • Understanding of ARCADIA methodology for system architecture modeling.

The total cash compensation range for this position is $116,900 to $233,800 with 10% of this being comprised of an annual incentive target. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s work location as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
