Description:

Set up and maintain training environments in Epic. Train and credential CT's and assist with training end users. Create and maintain training materials for Radiant and all tip sheets along with the tip sheet library. Assist team at go-lives.

POSITION PURPOSE

Serves as ambassador of the new system to the end users. Assists staff in learning how to effectively complete the workflows needed to carry out daily work. Responsible for making the system meaningful and useful to end users. Provides end users with information about workflows and processes and system functionality. Responsible for learning new workflows, building and maintaining training environment, creating actual classroom content and coaching classroom trainers. Assists in development and implementation of post-live training for refresher and to efficiently meet training, onboarding, and upgrade of training needs. Trains additional classroom trainers as needed. Works with Epic Training Manager, Application Coordinators, and Application Managers to develop and maintain the training program for roles in specific applications. (Note: Principal trainers on applications that train physicians will also work with specialty champions in order to gain proficiency of Trinity Health's workflows for the roles they train.) Position reports to the Epic Application Manager with a matrix relationship to the Training Manager

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Knows, understands, incorporates and demonstrates the Trinity Health Mission, Vision and Values in behaviors, practices and decisions. Facilitates meetings, demos and training sessions with clients either in person or via web-ex sessions, e-mail and phone. Works with clients to implement new/upgraded applications. Provides guidance and training to ensure a smooth transition. Provides significant interactive and collaborative partnerships with System Office business partners. Provides training readiness for specific application implementations. Conducts needs assessment to determine training solutions; designs, modifies, or assists in the development of customized adult educational programs. Prepares materials, guides, job aides learning modules; conducts training utilizing various delivery methods and techniques. Provides technical expertise and serves as a seasoned resource to team members, business analysts, management and clients. Provides training and guidance on integration of workflow to the software products. Serves as specialist in one or more areas of clinical and/or revenue cycle. Provides specialized knowledge and experience with business workflows and applications and demonstrates expertise in one or more of these business workflows and applications. Develops and delivers formal presentation, which includes presenting information in a clear and concise manner, commanding the audience's attention, developing effective materials, and handling questions or challenges from the audience. Responsible for communicating information clearly and concisely to trainers and trainees when speaking and in writing, which includes targeting the amount, style, and content of the information to the needs of the receiver. Serves as an expert educator to internal staff. Develops role-based training content, independently or with team members, using a variety of software programs, tools and applications (i.e., Microsoft Office and Adobe Captivate). Designs, develops and maintains instructional materials and training database. Assists with building and testing of training environments, and providing support and troubleshooting issues. Outlines and informs additional educational plans as desired by the organization. Provides training and credentialing of additional classroom trainers. Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State and local laws and regulations, the Trinity Health Integrity and Compliance Program and Code of Conduct, as well as other policies and procedures in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical and professional behavior.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum three (3) to five (5) years serving as a trainer or assisted with developing workflows and training material with a training team and/or experience as a consultant. Bachelor's degree in healthcare, IT or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience teaching or training and/or possess a comprehensive knowledge that may be acquired through direct industry experience or through consulting. Broad-based knowledge of clinical or revenue workflows preferred. Ability to learn Epic's software and Epic Certification will be required when training is complete. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Adobe Captivate training/experience preferred. Skills and experience in adult education. Ability to develop a detailed understanding of workflows and system configuration. Strong interpersonal, effective communication and organizational skills. Ability to see the position in what is new and different and to focus on what the system does and not what it does not do. Ability to develop, manage and monitor the overall implementation for a specific application team and/or area and to reinforce the importance of the project and provide consistent communication to application directors and application project teams. Ability to communicate to leadership regarding challenges and strategies for success. Ability to approach problems constructively by focusing on how to move the project forward. Ability to effectively manage resources within the organization. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate information clearly and concisely with leadership and the team. Ability to motivate team members, gain trust and establish effective relationships with Epic counterparts. Ability to appropriately align team member skills to team responsibilities and show appreciation for overall collective team and individual team member efforts. Recognized and respected in the organization. Must be able to operate effectively in a collaborative, shared team environment. Familiarity with information systems, clinical software and other computer applications. Strong analytical abilities and the ability to assess and match team member skills to team responsibilities and match organizational needs to the system's functionality. Ability to research, evaluate, analyze and implement alternatives to reach issue resolution. Ability to manage a project team at a detailed task and to reach established deadlines and adhere to them. Ability to commit to established timetables in order to ensure successful project outcomes. Must possess a personal presence that is characterized by a sense of honesty, integrity and caring with the ability to inspire and motivate others to promote the philosophy, mission, vision, goals and values of Trinity Health. PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

Operates in a typical office environment. The area is well lit, temperature-controlled and free from hazards. Incumbent communicates frequently, in person and over the telephone, with people in a number of different locations on technical issues. Manual dexterity is needed in order to operate a keyboard. Hearing is needed for extensive telephone and in person communications. Must be able to speak and communicate clearly and effectively. The environment in which the incumbent will work requires the ability to concentrate, meet deadlines, work on several projects at the same time and adapt to interruptions. Must be able to adapt to frequently changing work priorities, and be able to prioritize and balance the requirements of working with the System Office and Regional Health Ministries (RHMs). Must be able to travel to various Trinity Health sites as needed. Workhours may possibly include afterhours and weekends.

Hourly pay ranges: $39.82 - $59.73
