In this position…

Come join the fast-paced RWD Propulsion Team! We have design and release responsibility for RWD hybrid and RWD hydraulic transmissions used in vehicles like the Mustang, Bronco, F-150 and other global product lines!

Our team is looking for an engineer to help design, validate and release RWD hybrid and ICE Powertrains. This position is for a “RWD Propulsion Dyno and Vehicle Testing Engineer” that will work on both hybrid and traditional powertrains

What you'll do…

  • This position will include work on hybrid systems and RWD propulsion systems.

  • Become a Subject Matter Expert in dyno testing and vehicle testing

  • Become a Subject Matter Expert in Vehicle testing

  • Be a critical part of a team that Validates future product architectures

  • Interface directly with facilities and suppliers

  • Lead testing requirements and execution of system signoff requirements

  • Must be in Livonia Michigan 5 days a week.

  • Work directly with Transmission component and system engineers to lead optimized DV/PV schedules

You'll have...

Minimum

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering

  • 2+ Years of Dyno Test Experience preferred

  • 2+ Years of E-motor and hybrid architecture design experience preferred

  • Vehicle repair or vehicle diagnostics background

  • Calibration and vehicle data collection knowledge

  • Caltools experience preferred; ATI, INCA, ETAS, etc.

  • Hands-on problem solver and strong root cause skills.

  • Independent,; self-starter when required.

  • Good communicator and can foster relationships with suppliers.

  • A “be curious” and “continued improvement” mindset.

  • A strong drive to both learn from and teach others.
