Job Summary: The Mechanical Engineer II will perform a broad range of customer projects with a variety of engineering programs. The role will work on projects for large and small customers with aggressive timelines. The mid-level role will also determine an understanding of the customer's unique component design, validation, and release needs. The Mechanical Engineer II will perform independent project tasks and collaborate with customers and team members. As *Mechanical Engineer II, you will:*

Generation of 2D drawings and 3D CAD models for mechanical equipment. This may be a mix of directing design staff to generate models and drawings or the engineer having direct responsibility for generating this data

Calculate and analyze system and sub-system performance for decision making and program or design direction. This may include hand calculations, 1D calculators, use of dedicated simulation software, or coordinating with a CAE team to run simulations

Read, analyze, interpret, and create technical documents, engineering drawings, and engineering documentation

Generate and execute or oversee testing procedures on benchtop, in laboratory, in vehicle, in field, or onsite at a customer facility

Balance quality, cost, and timing of responsible systems and designs to fit the needs of projects

Be a representative of mechanical engineering expertise as part of a cross-functional team (CFT) with both Roush and external team members
