Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Desktop Support Technician to provide on-site technical support to our client's employees! The ideal candidate will have a strong background in troubleshooting hardware and software issues, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide on-site technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.

  • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and software applications.

  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, providing timely resolution to ensure minimal disruption to users.

  • Assist with the setup and maintenance of user accounts, permissions, and passwords.

  • Perform regular maintenance and updates to ensure system security and efficiency.

  • Respond to support tickets and service requests in a timely manner.

  • Provide support for remote users as needed.

  • Maintain inventory of hardware and software assets.

  • Document technical procedures and solutions.

  • Collaborate with other IT team members to identify and resolve complex issues.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or coursework, preferred.

  • Proven experience as a Desktop Support Technician or similar role.

  • Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems.

  • Familiarity with various software applications and remote desktop tools.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

  • Customer-focused attitude with a commitment to providing high-quality support.

  • Physical ability to lift and move computer equipment as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP), or similar certifications.

  • Experience with network troubleshooting and support.

Work Environment:

  • This position is based on-site at

  • Standard working hours are 40per week, with occasional after-hours support required.
