Relay & Meter Technician Journey Level

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Install and maintain relay protection and control systems.

  • Provide technical support to internal/external departments and customers.

  • Provide relay system reliability, integrity, and security.

    REQUIRED EDUCATION:

  • Two-year technical college degree (or higher) with course work in electronics/electrical technologies and microprocessors.

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

    Journey Level:

  • Four years or more job-related experience which includes the completion of a four year state accredited Relay & Meter Technician apprenticeship.

    Level to be determined based on experience and qualifications

    SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must possess and maintain a valid Class D Driver's License.

  • This position will report regularly in person to Little Falls, MN.

  • This Position is subject to NERC CIP (North American Electric Reliability Corporation – Critical Infrastructure Protection) standards.

  • Occasional out-of-town work and after hours call-outs will be required.

  • Requires good communication skills to establish and maintain positive working relationships.

  • This position may be subject to assessment of skills, job match and/or aptitude.
