Volt ENG Engineering Drafter II in Little Canada, Minnesota

Volt is immediately hiring an Engineering Drafter in Maplewood, MN with a well-known industry leader. In this role you will prepare complicated designs, drawings and layouts working from engineering specifications using computer-aided drafting (CAD) methods. This is a first shift position. As an Engineering Drafter you will:

  • Calculates dimensions, weights, capacities, or qualities by applying mathematical formulas.
  • Research, interpret and analyze information/data, as directed for business teams to assist in the completion of packaging requests and projects.
  • Learn and begin to apply quality management requirements to department operations.
  • Participate on cross-functional teams to develop process or product improvements, standard operating procedures, work instructions, training, and supporting documentation.
  • Participate in internal/external audits for adherence to defined policies and procedures, providing necessary communication and follow-up for necessary corrective action.
  • Produce or manage graphics design projects of limited scope and complexity in support of functional marketing/business plans, organizational plans and brand strategy.

Estimated Duration up to 24 months. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum Associates Degree
  • CAD Drawing Experience- Strong and confident work experience in CAD
